Lucknow Mar 26 (Islam on Rise): The Imam of Tile Wali Masjid in Lucknow Maulana Fazlur Rehman Waizi appealed to Muslims for boycotting Nokia phones. The contention being that Nokia is a Jews owned company which is using its revenues for anti-Muslim activities. Maulana Waizi issued his appeal while addressing a Seerat Conference organised by Wahadat-e-Islami organisation at Sir Syed Montessori School in Gonda on Saturday.
Confirming his statement Maulana Waizi remarked: "It is a fact that Nokia is owned by Jews. In present situation when a mobile phone has become a necessity it is better to avoid Nokia products. Jews are anti-Muslims and uses the revenue for anti-Muslim activities." When further quizzed, the maulana even claimed that all products manufactured by a Jews owned company should be boycotted by the Muslims. "It is nothing new and earlier also such appeals have been made by various eminent Muslim clerics and we should adhere to it," he said.
Urging the Muslims to remain united Maulana Waizi stated that Christian missionaries are opening intermediate schools which are influencing the young minds. "These missionaries never go for higher education institutions but only concentrate on intermediate level schools as the mind of a child can be moulded as per their beliefs. We should take it as a challenge and open our own schools in every locality for safeguarding our children," he said. The maulana also exhorted the Muslims to stand up and face the challenges hovering over the community and their religion.
